Who can enter the
show?
The rules and requirements to enter the art show include:
- Any applicant must have
possession of an original work of art, where
the applicant is the artist or has written
permission of the artist to list the the
artwork on this site.
- Applicant and/or artist
must be a U.S. Resident.
- Art must fall within the
art categories list
available. No nudity, illicit, pornographic,
or discriminatory art is allowed.
- Artwork must be able to
be shipped, if chosen as a finalist, using
USPS, UPS or FEDEX. Shipping is paid for
by the artist.
- Digital images shown on
this site of the artwork must correctly portray
the artwork and colors. The image should
not be 'doctored' to enhance the actual artwork
otherwise the artwork will be disqualified
without refund.
- 5 or fewer paintings are allowed per entry fee of $99.
- Each art piece is judged
and voted on by online viewers, USArtShow.com
board members and selected judges from the
professional art community. 40% of the voting
is from online viewers, 60% is from board
members and professional artists.
- Those applicants that enter
early will have a better chance to get higher
votes and more publicity.
- USArtShow.com has the right
to deny any entry into the art show and competition based on
non-compliance with criteria listed here
or other criteria such as cheating, hacking,
bribing, manipulating votes, incomplete application
information, etc.
- Artist grants USArtShow.com
and/or MinuteMall.com the right to place
their biography, personal photo, artwork
information and artwork image on the site
and in promotions for the site without remuneration
to Artist, for the period of the 1 year show.
If the artist is a top category winner then
applicant agrees to extend the above rights
throughout the next contest period.
- Artist agrees that if their
artwork is selected as a top 25 finalist,
they will allow their artwork to be displayed
digitally by USArtShow.com on the USArtShow.com
web site indefinitely. Artist will also grant
USArtShow.com the right to display the actual
original artwork on a tour, if a finalist
tour is planned.
- Artist agrees that the artwork
will not be allowed to be sold during the
contest or as a finalist, until permission
has been granted from USArtShow.com for the
artist to do so, or after contest ends and
art is not a finalist or a returning entry,
or after one year as a finalist has ended.
- After payment has been received
by USArtShow.com a login account will be
issued to the applicant. All information
and images will then be allowed to be uploaded
to that artists area of the site and entered
into the show.
- There must be a minimum of 100 artists entering the competition to declare the competition valid on the deadline date set below, or the competition will continue another year and all artists will be allowed to withdraw their entry or continue until the competition closes.
- There is no age restriction
to enter, however younger children may want
to be sponsored by their parents. Using a
parental alias for the information to protect
the child's identity on the web site is suggested.
- USArtShow.com
agrees to pay the following percentages
to the top 25 finalists from the total
entry fees submitted:
- 1st Place: 10%
- 2nd : 5%
- 3rd : 2%
- 4th-10th :1%
- 11th-20th : 0.5%
- 21st-25th : 0.25%
- USArtShow.com deadlines
are as follows:
- July 1, 2006 entry fee and art upload
deadline.
- July 30, 2006 Top 100 contacted and
asked to ship art to judges.
- August 30, 2006 Top 25 show finalists
contacted.
