ABOUT THE US ART SHOW

Welcome to the 2005-2006, Annual USArtShow.com competition!


At USArtShow.com, our goal is to provide an Internet environment for both amateur and professional fine artists to display their original artwork. Several different mediums can be entered into the art show to compete in several different categories. All art is shown on this site using digital photographs of actual artwork.

USArtShow.com is a yearly art competition that will be voted on by web viewers, USArtShow.com judges and board members. The top 100 works of art across all categories will be selected and asked to be shipped to USArtShow.com to be judged in person. 25 of the top 100 will then be selected the finalists of the show.


Every artist entry will be able to:

• upload an artwork image on the site under a specific category until the competition is over.
  
• have a section of the web site for a small biography sketch and upload an image of the artist and list artist contact information.
  
• have an area describing the artwork displayed and artwork title.
  
• be seen by thousands of people and possibly get contracted work from your listing.
  
• vote and get others to vote for your art.
  
• get feedback from the judges and site visitors about your artwork.
  
• All artists will have their artwork reviewed by Specialties Distribution & Design, Inc., (Specialties) for possible publishing opportunities.

The top 25 finalists will receive the following:

• a web page listing of all the finalists and their art for the given art show year. This will remain with the USArtShow.com forever and will include artwork image, artist information etc.
  
• a percentage of the entry fees from that years competition. (based on the number of applicants and artwork rank as to what the final cash award will be. NOTE: this value goes up as artists enter the competition, so get others to sign-up!)
  
• an official USArtShow.com top 25 finalist award certificate.
  
• an invitation to the awards banquet in beautiful Jackson Hole, WY.
  
• will likely be offered an exclusive printing and distribution contract from Specialties Distribution & Design, Inc., (Specialties) for a minimum of 1,000 prints.
  

The winning artists may also be promoted in other areas such as toured in galleries, hotels, colleges and museums. The tours will vary each year based on availability and art show budget.

Every artist that finishes first in any art category after the competition has ended and is not selected, will be allowed to enter the next years competition for free!
